Some Outstanding Issues Fixed!
Hey folks,
I'm happy to report that I finally fixed some outstanding issues with the game. At least, I think so. I mean, I'm pretty sure. In any case, this is now the best version of the game.
UPDATES:
- Fixed major issue where enemies would appear on the left side of the screen when loading on the right side of the screen.
- Fixed major issue where player projectiles would not properly deactivate at screen edge, which could lead to more slow down or even the game freezing.
- Ever so slightly improved slowdown. Probably not really noticeable.
- Fixed bug at the beginning of Level 3 that could result in a seam tear between screens and the player falling into a later part of the game.
I know players have experienced clipping with solid geometry while playing and getting permanently stuck. I have too. I tried to address this issue and have not been able to recreate the bug. That doesn't mean it's solved, per se. I'll continue testing to make sure.
Outside of that lingering issue, I think the major bugs that I know about are all addressed. In addition to continuing to find minor issues, I can turn my attention toward other considerations as I work toward a final build of the game over the next several months.
